Dallas Metro Partners with Lone Star Analysis to Complete Impact Study
Dallas Metro has completed an impact study in partnership with Lone Star Analysis, revealing the nonprofit organization has affected an estimated 50,000 children around Dallas.
DALLAS (PRWEB) APRIL 16, 2019
Dallas Metro, an inner city children’s ministry and nonprofit, has completed a study measuring the impact of its efforts on the city of Dallas. The organization partnered with Lone Star Analysis, a predictive and prescriptive analytics provider, to quantify the impact it has had on children’s lives.
“After a few months of attempting to measure the effects of our work on the community despite our lack of resources, Lone Star approached us with a great analytics solution,” said Chris Kraft, Board Member, Dallas Metro. “Working with Lone Star has given us the ability to finally put numbers behind our initiative and effectively measure the impact of the work we have done in the community over the last three decades. This research is a game changer.”
The study, The Analytics of Hope and a Major Need, found Dallas Metro’s impact to be size-able, targeting families in the city with the second-highest child poverty rate. A combination of statistics, government data and “the science of hope,” a measurable predictor of improved lives and outcomes, led to quantitative outcomes resulting from Metro’s mission.
Lone Star concluded Dallas Metro has reduced the frequency of 21 types of adverse life outcomes by helping more than 40,000 people improve their English, raising grades for over 23,000 students and encouraging 5,000 kids to stay in school.
For over 30 years, Dallas Metro has been serving Dallas youth through programs such as Metro Kidz, Dallas Metro Youth, summer camps and mobile food banks. Metro Kidz, one of the organization’s longest standing programs, takes place every Saturday. Staff and volunteers travel to the city’s most challenging neighborhoods to play games, visit with the kids, build relationships and spread positive messages.
“At Lone Star, we want to make a difference for organizations, especially when we think the organization contributes to a better society,” said Steve Roemerman, chairman and CEO, Lone Star Analysis. “Dallas Metro focuses on serving the local youth, which aligns perfectly with our community-centric views. Dallas has more than its fair share of children at-risk, and this study shows Metro is making a lasting difference in their lives.”
Lone Star Analysis provides a wide-range of analytics for industrial markets, including aerospace and defense, manufacturing, and oil and gas. In addition to taking on industrial clients, the company periodically provides organizations with pro bono analytics. Previous efforts include partnering with the House Armed Services Committee to complete a study on public policy.
