Analyst

Job Summary:
Lone Star Analysis is looking for an Analyst within our Operational Optimization Solutions team to work as a key player in transforming data into action. The Analyst will report to the Programs Manager for Training Solutions. In this role, the analyst will build and maintain a strategic analytics framework that supports smarter leadership decisions and boosts program performance. From collecting and cleaning data to analyzing trends, the analyst delivers insights that drive mission success. This role lays the foundation for advanced analytics capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver operational clarity through accurate and timely data analysis
- Aggregate and clean data from multiple systems and sources related to human performance and development
- Create dashboards and visualizations to support program management and leadership oversight
- Contribute to continuous improvement aimed at refining the organization’s analytics infrastructure
- Develop and refine predictive and prescriptive analytics models and tools
- Support cross-functional teams with data-driven insights that sharpen execution and boost mission success
- Assist in the architecture and implementation of scalable data solutions
- Contribute to the roadmap for mature analytics capabilities
- Collaborate with performance staff, researchers, and government stakeholders to translate questions into data products
- Support the development and delivery of recurring reports and strategic updates
- Serve as a data force multiplier by integrating sources into a cohesive analytics environment
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and security of all data outputs
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; current clearance preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in data mining, and/or 4+ years in a data analyst role, supporting DoD training environments
- Proficient in tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, R, Python, or SQL
- Experience developing analytical dashboards using Power BI
- Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Must be highly collaborative and capable of working in a team-based environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
Software Engineer
Addison, TX, Full Time Exempt
(On-site, U.S. Citizenship Required)
Job Summary:
Lone Star Analysis is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to work under the guidance of systems engineers, program managers, and senior software engineers. This role involves supporting agile software development and system integration teams in the development, validation, and management of custom software components. The Software Engineer will collaborate closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to refine solutions and identify software enhancements or new applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable desktop applications.
- Define, build, test, and deploy scalable web applications and/or microservices.
- Develop reusable, componentized UIs.
- Transforming or transferring data.
- Translating data into different formats.
- Work in a DevSecOps environment.
- Participate in agile development ceremonies (Sprint Planning, backlog grooming, story points estimation, review/retrospective, demo).
- Identify defects and system enhancements associated with the software being developed.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance within 12 months from hire date
- Degree in a related field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics) OR an unrelated degree and equivalent experience demonstrating software development in a government, scientific, or technical environment
- 5+ years’ experience in software development with at least two programming languages, one of which must be from the following list: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, or Rust
Associate Software Engineer
Addison, TX, Full Time Exempt

Job Summary:
Lone Star Analysis is currently looking for an Associate Software Engineer (ASWE). In this role, the ASWE will receive guidance from systems engineers, program managers, and senior software engineers. The primary responsibilities include supporting agile software development teams and system integration teams in the development, validation, and management of custom software components.
